North Brookfield Savings Bank, The Savings Bank, TD Bank and more are featured in this week's roundup of local banks and brokerages giving back to their communities.


Cherrytree Group

Cherrytree Group President Warren Kirshenbaum recently raised more than $5,500 for Project Hope by running on its Boston Marathon team earlier this month. 


East Cambridge Savings Bank

East Cambridge Savings Bank has donated $10,000 to the 2014 Medford Summer Recreation Program for the fourth consecutive year. The program provides sports, games, physical activities and arts and crafts to young people in the community.


MutualOne Bank

The MutualOne Charitable Foundation recently awarded $2,500 to support Read to a Child, a nonprofit that runs a lunchtime reading program at the Woodrow Wilson and Brophy elementary schools in Framingham.


North Brookfield Savings Bank

Kenneth Prouty of West Brookfield has been named the April winner of North Brookfield Savings Bank's Where It's At Hat Contest.

Each month, anyone spotted wearing an NBSB hat by a bank representative is entered into a drawing for a chance to win a $100 gift card to a local establishment. Prouty received a $100 gift certificate to Klem's Home and Garden in Spencer.


Santander Bank

Santander Bank recently made a $5,000 donation to the Salvation Army's FEAST program at the Ray and Joan Croc center in Dorchester. Kids FEAST (Food, Enrichment, Arts, Spiritual-development and Teaching) is a free, afterschool homework and tutoring drop-in program for children 6 to 12 years old.


The Savings Bank

Representatives from The Savings Bank and Wakefield High School recently joined with the Center for Performing Arts to unveil the new sign at the entrance of The Savings Bank Theatre at Wakefield High School.


Skoler, Abbott and Presser P.C.

Springfield-based labor and employment law firm Skoler, Abbott and Presser P.C. has raised 3,387 pounds of food for The Food Bank of Western Massachusetts. The company collected the food by participating in the annual Legal Food Frenzy, a competition in the legal community to raise food and funds for state food banks.


TD Bank

TD Bank has signed on to be the presenting sponsor of the 2014 TD Bank Summer Concert Series presented by the Arts Foundation of Cape Cod. The series of free outdoor summer concerts starts July 7 and runs for four weeks in eight towns across the Cape.
