The Webster Five Foundation will donate $3,000 to the Guild of St. Agnes to support the extension of early childhood mental health services at the Webster Child Care Center.Bristol County Savings Bank, Seamen's Bank, Webster Five and more share the spotlight in this week's roundup of banks and brokerages giving back to their communities.


BayCoast Bank

Fall River-based BayCoast Bank recently contributed $10,000 to the Southeast Regional Office of the Massachusetts Small Business Development Center Network, a program that supports the entrepreneurial growth of small businesses throughout Massachusetts. The donation will help provide no-cost comprehensive and confidential advisory services, focusing on business growth and strategies, financing and loan assistance and strategic marketing and operational analysis.


Bristol County Savings Bank

The Bristol County Savings Bank Charitable Foundation recently presented a $20,000 grant to Massasoit Community College to continue to offer students at Bridgewater-Raynham Regional High School a program that will prepare them for college-level coursework and provide scholarships to pursue post-secondary education at Massasoit.


HarborOne Bank

HarborOne has partnered with the Brockton Rox baseball team and the United Way of Greater Plymouth County on a new initiative aimed at helping local youth-based programs, "Homeruns for Kids." Throughout the 2014 baseball season, HarborOne and the Brockton Rox will donate $100 for every homerun hit by a Rox player at any of the team's 28 home games at Campanelli Stadium. All donations will be given to the United Way of Greater Plymouth County and will go directly to supporting youth-oriented initiatives at local community agencies.


Middlesex Savings Bank

The Middlesex Savings Charitable Foundation recently awarded the $5,000 A. James Lavoie Scholarship to Colin Mahoney of Ashland. The foundation also awarded $1,000 scholarships to 30 other high school seniors from 23 Massachusetts towns.


MutualOne Bank

MutualOne Bank has donated $2,000 to help fund the Framingham Police Department's National Night Out on Aug. 5 National Night Out is a community-police awareness event held annually across the country since 1984.


Seamen's Bank

The 2014 Seamen's Bank Walking Home fundraiser raised $2,500 for the Cape Cod Children's Place (CCCP). CCCP provides care, support and advocacy for families with young children.


Webster Five

The Webster Five Foundation will donate $3,000 to the Guild of St. Agnes to support the extension of early childhood mental health services at the Webster Child Care Center. The Guild of St. Agnes Early Education and Care Agency has been providing child care services in the town of Webster since July of 2012 and currently serves 137 children full-time.
