More important than any game-winning field goal, buzzer-beater for the Green or strikeout of an overmatched Yankee batter (fill in your favorite) was the pitch made last Tuesday night at the new Boston Convention & Exposition Center, with thousands turning out to support the 2004 Champions for Children’s fund-raiser.
