Boston Mayor Seeking to Hike Linkage Fees

Large-scale development in Boston is about to get more expensive. In a recent speech, Mayor Thomas M. Menino announced that he wants to increase the linkage fees that developers of commercial space and other big projects must pay for housing and jobs programs by almost 10 percent.

Housing Organizations to Seek Additional Funding From State

Even as state legislators are focused on hashing out differences over health care plans, housing advocates will head to Beacon Hill tomorrow pushing for more funding to prevent homelessness and to expand a pilot program that brings housing counselors to community health centers.
