Now carbon monoxide safety is being treated with the same level of seriousness as fire safety, and with good reason. Nicoles Law is named for Nicole Garofalo, a 7-year-old Plymouth girl who died of carbon monoxide poisoning last January after snow covered a vent to her familys propane boiler.
