Last month Mayor Michael Bloomberg announced PLANYC 2030, a blueprint for New York that focuses on the five key dimensions of the city’s environment – land, air, water, energy and transportation – that will not only improve the quality of life for New Yorkers but also will achieve a 30 percent reduction in global warming emissions.
