
Protestors Demand Fed Protect Homeowners From Lenders

By Thomas Grillo Jeannette and Anthony Forde never expected to become a statistic. Last fall, a perfect storm of events caused upheaval for the pair and their five children. Anthony lost his job as a general contractor. At the same time, the rate for their adjustable mortgage reached a whopping 13 percent. As a result, the family could not afford to pay their loan and the mortgage company filed a petition to foreclose on their four-bedroom Colonial-style home.
