Sustainable Design in the Adaptive Reuse And Renovation of Local Historic Structures

Harvard University’s Blackstone Station recently was awarded LEED Platinum certification by the U.S. Green Building Council. The property is Harvard’s first building to achieve that level of certification and is the highest-scoring renovation building in the country, based on its energy, lighting, water and material use, as well as a variety of other sustainable strategies.
