False Economies in Facade Renovations

John Fidler (jafidler@sgh.com) is a staff consultant in the Preservation Technology practice group at Simpson Gumpertz & Heger (www.sgh.com), a national engineering firm that designs, investigates and rehabilitates structures and building enclosures. Fidler’s experience includes the conservation of monuments such as World Heritage Sites at Hadrian’s Wall and Stonehenge and repairs to London’s Mansion House and Guildhall, Winchester Cathedral.
