Surprises Aren’t Fun When They Pop Up During the Renovation of Existing Buildings

Michael E. Liu is vice president and principal in charge of design at The Architectural Team (www.architecturalteam.com), a Chelsea, Mass.-based design firm. He has been a registered architect in Massachusetts since 1984 and has been honored with more than 20 design awards by professional and trade associations, including the Boston Society of Architects and the Massachusetts Historical Commission. He is president of the board of directors of Habitat for Humanity of Greater Boston.
