The median sales price of a single-family home in Massachusetts fell to $290,000 in October, down 6.5 percent from the same month last year when the median stood at $310,000. The median condominium price in the Bay State also declined in October, falling 1.5 percent to $257,100 from $261,000 in October 2006.


Bay State Home Sales Fall 17 Percent in October
BOSTON, Nov. 27, 2007 – Single-family home sales in October dropped by a double-digit percentage for the second month in a row, renewing a downward trend following a period of nearly flat sales. The median home sales price in Massachusetts also fell compared with the same time period in 2006, according to a report released today by The Warren Group, publisher of Banker & Tradesman.
