Emergency Legislation Alters Mortgage Lending Landscape

Kenneth F. Ehrlich is a partner of Nutter McClennen & Fish LLP in Boston and co-chair of its Banking and Financial Services Group. He is a past co-chair of the Business Law Section of the Boston Bar Association and a past co-chair of its Banking and Financial Services Law Committee. Gov. Deval Patrick signed emergency legislation on Nov. 29 creating new protections for individuals who borrow money to buy or refinance their homes.
