Sometimes, it’s the little things that get you. After yanking that “Sold” sign out of the front yard, every first-time homebuyer finds themselves confronted with an endless list of bits and bobs that they never seemed to need when they were renters – a lawnmower, power tools, paintbrushes, a meth testing kit… Oh yeah, about that last $50 dollar item.

Stop us if you've heard this before - guy goes into a bar and asks the bartender for a drink. Guy says, my house's furnace is failing and the roof is leaking. Bartender says, well, guess you'll have to start saving up. Guy says, naw, the marble floors are still in great shape and my hot tub still pulls 'em in, if ya know what I mean!

The Teller receives a lot of sales pitches - God only knows why, since we are no longer allowed to use the company credit card after the last little misunderstanding - and most of pitches are deleted immediately upon receipt. But this one caught our eye.

Recently, a list of the "safest banks in America" was making the rounds. Turns out a few Massachusetts-based institutions made the list, but Banker & Tradesman's offices only received a press release from one of them.

“Kasasa!” Umm, Gesundheit? We may have gotten sneezed on by a recent press release: “More than just a catchy name, Kasasa is a completely new kind of banking that pairs innovative products with the personal touch of community banks and credit unions.”
