The $201-million acquisition of a Chicago portfolio has completed Boston-based Taurus Investment Holdings’ latest fund, which specializes in industrial properties.

Taurus’ US Logistics Fund I focuses on value-added logistics properties in large U.S. population centers. The final acquisition, the Chicago-based Venture One portfolio, includes 51 properties totaling over 2.9 million square feet with an occupancy rate of 91.5 percent.

With tenants including Amazon, Ryder and Armacell, the transaction gave Taurus an opportunity to acquire key last-mile industrial properties in one of the nation’s largest industrial markets, Managing Director Lathan Allen said in a statement.

The fund includes 117 buildings in 5 states totaling nearly 8.4 million square feet.

Taurus owns over 20 million square feet of commercial space and 2,500 apartments globally.
