Boston luxury real estate firm Advisors Living has hired Merit McIntyre, the former president of Coldwell Banker New England, to run its brokerage arm as it hopes to grow its operations.

The firm, an outgrowth of Boston Realty Advisors, advises developers of luxury rental and for-sale projects and operates an invitation-only luxury real estate brokerage.

McIntyre will work as CEO of the company’s brokerage arm alongside Advisors Living CEO Janice Dumont, who will transition to be CEO of the firm’s new development sales and marketing arm.

“Advisors Living is a distinct residential brand and with Merit leading residential brokerage, our footprint and unique brand is unmatched in the marketplace,” Dumont said in a statement.

McIntyre left his role at Coldwell Banker last April to found his own commercial real estate brokerage under the Coldwell Banker Worldwide umbrella, just as the COVID-19 pandemic descended on Boston. At Coldwell Banker New England, he oversaw 4,000 agents and 90 offices.

“I’m honored to join a premium brand name and look forward to growing Advisors Living throughout the state and beyond. Our unique model is to utilize a percentage of every transaction to reinvest in our agents and perpetually regenerate leads.” McIntyre said in a statement, “The agent is at the center of every transaction. I believe that if you treat agents with white-glove service, that treatment will be forwarded to our customers.”

In a statement, Advisors Living promised agents who seek to join the firm an “agent centric independent industry leading real estate brokerage firm” with “a steadfast commitment to tech and data in order to deliver the best-in-class tools for agents.” Those tools, the company said without elaborating, include “brand automation, dynamic data, and predictive analytics” along with Boston-based in-house support and marketing.

“We have been selling homes for twenty years. Our comprehensive platform has advised on over $10 billion of properties throughout Massachusetts,” Advisors Living founder Jason S. Weissman said in a statement. “I’m excited to partner with Merit and Janice to further scale Advisors Living across the state and beyond.”
