A large redevelopment of a gateway intersection in Allston has received final approvals for 344 housing units in six buildings.

The Boston Zoning Board of Appeals approved Brookline-based City Realty’s Allston Square project which will include 100 apartments and 244 condos, including preservation and redevelopment of the former Jack Young Auto Parts building at 334 Cambridge St. and Allston Hall at 4 Braintree St., and construction of four new buildings near the corner of Cambridge Street and Harvard Avenue.

Allston Square will include 45 income-restricted units, including 12 artist live-work units, and a series of art installations occupying 9,000 square feet between the six building sites.
