In addition to approving landmark projects in Allston and Kenmore Square, the Boston Planning & Development Agency board approved three multifamily projects, including a controversial condominium development on the site of a financially struggling community center, at its Thurdsay meeting.

The projects approved represent 176 apartments and condominiums.

566 Columbus Ave., South End

  • Size: 6 stories, 89,700 square feet
  • Lot area: 23,000 square feet
  • Program: 66 condominium units, including 11 income-restricted artist live/work units, plus ground-floor art gallery and a social enterprise cafe. Relocates operations of Harriet Tubman House community center to a nearby facility.
  • Developer: New Boston Ventures

1599 Columbus Ave., Jamaica Plain

  • Size: 6 stories, 80,00 square feet
  • Lot area: 24,000 square feet
  • Program: 65 apartments, all fully income-restricted, plus 4,000 square feet of ground-floor artist work space or commercial space, secured bicycle parking and 21 at-grade vehicle parking spaces.
  • Developer: Urban Edge Housing Corp.

10 Stonley Road, Jamaica Plain

  • Size: 4 stories, 37,739 square feet
  • Lot area: 16,290 square feet
  • Program: 45 apartments, including 10 income-restricted units, five of which will be artist live/work units, 19 at-grade vehicle parking spaces and 38 bicycle parking spaces
  • Developer: Jeff Glew and Mathieu Zahler
