Clinton Savings Charitable Foundation

The Clinton Savings Charitable Foundation donated $6,000 to WHEAT Community Connections, a service of the United Way of Tri-County, which will be used for purchase of kitchen equipment to help continue serving hot meals six nights a week.

 

Country Bank

Country Bank staff members spent Sept. 11 in Springfield assisting with the building of a home on Quincy Street as part of the Team Build Day for the Greater Springfield Habitat for Humanity.

 

Homefield Credit Union

Homefield Credit Union participated in “National Night Out,” a nationwide community event that raises awareness for crime and drug prevention. Locally, the Grafton Police Department was the co-sponsor. The annual program involves over 15,000 communities in 50 states.

 

Massachusetts Bar Foundation

The Massachusetts Bar Foundation recently awarded over $1.9 million in grants through its annual Interest on Lawyers’ Trust Accounts Grants Program. This year’s grants will fund 82 programs conducted by 54 nonprofit organizations throughout Massachusetts.

 

National Braille Press

National Braille Press announced that its “Hands On” award this year will go to 14 year-old Connor McLeod of Australia, who led a national effort to change the way Australia’s currency is printed so that the blind and visually impaired are able to identify money more easily.

Mortgage Network Inc. employees rode in the “Tour de Greenbelt” to support land preservation in Essex County.
