Easthampton Savings Bank

Easthampton Saving Bank awarded a $5,000 grant to the Capital Campaign for the John P. Musante Health Center of Hilltown Community Health Center, Inc. in Amherst.

Greenwood Industries and KB Lawns

Worcester-based commercial roofing company Greenwood Industries worked with Marlborough-based KB Lawns to put a new roof on the home of an elderly Marlborough family who had fallen on hard times, and landscape their yard.

HarborOne Bank

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro South was among 22 recipients of Brockton-based HarborOne Bank grants benefiting dozens of communities and organizations stretching from Attleboro to Plymouth to Quincy and Southern New Hampshire. The HarborOne Foundation’s $25,000 grant to Metro South will support critical teen education programs and the Keystone Club teen leadership program. All told, the HarborOne Foundation awarded a total of $200,000 in grants.

Leaders at the bank and its wholly-owned subsidiary HarborOne Mortgage Co. also gathered together to pack and distribute backpacks to local organizations serving children and families in need. Collectively, HarborOne Bank and HarborOne Mortgage provided over 5,000 at-risk children the backpacks and educational tools they need to start the school year off right on Aug. 7 at the Brockton Boys & Girls Club. Additionally, the local offices of HarborOne Mortgage provided another 2,000 to not-profit partners across New England.

IC Credit Union

Fitchburg-based IC Credit Union worked with the Fitchburg Disability Commission and Fitchburg Mayor Steven DiNatale’s office to procure an aquatic wheelchair for the city’s community pool.

Rockland Trust

Rockland Trust, in partnership with the Wonderfund of Massachusetts, held a VIP concert at the Rockland Trust Bank Pavilion for children served by the Massachusetts Department of Children and Families. Participants enjoyed an interactive performance by the Blues SchoolHouse Band, courtesy of the Music Forward Foundation. Through song and narration, the performance took the kids on a musical journey through the history of the Blues and how it influenced American music and culture. The event was staffed by volunteers from Rockland Trust’s senior leadership team.

RTN Federal Credit Union

Waltham-based RTN Federal Credit Union awarded $10,000 in scholarships to to three students who are RTN members or dependents of members, and are enrolled in an undergraduate or post high school technical college, as part of its annual James A. Burley, Jr. Scholarship Awards.

UniBank

Whittinsville-based UniBank recently announced that a $10,000 donation was provided to the Community Harvest Project located in Grafton. UniBank’s donation will help the Community Harvest Project in their efforts to ease hunger and provide fresh fruits and vegetables to residents in need.
