Providence-based Citizens Bank announced its sponsorship of the “Stop Hunger Now” fundraising campaign, which uses a new charity license plate from the state Registry of Motor Vehicles to raise money for Boston Medical Center’s food and nutrition programs, including a hospital-based food pantry. Worcester’s Cornerstone Bank gave $2,500 to support the construction of a new combined fire station and police headquarters for the town of Charlton.

Hanscom Federal Credit Union has donated $25,000 to Run for Home Base. The virtual run/walk fundraiser generates donations for Home Base, a nonprofit that provides clinical care to veterans, servicemembers and their families.

Fitchburg-based IC Credit Union donated $4,000 through their “Empower – A Community Connection” program to Our Father’s House Food Pantry of Fitchburg. The credit union also gave $4,000 to the Marlborough Community Cupboard as part of the same initiative. The second gift will cover the purchase of turkeys for Thanksgiving,
