Worcester-based Bay State Savings Bank has distributed $17,000 to area nonprofits including ArtReach Studio Inc., Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central MA and Metro West, Dismas House and others.

Citizens Bank

Providence-based Citizens Bank announced its sponsorship of the “Stop Hunger Now” fundraising campaign, which uses a new charity license plate from the state Registry of Motor Vehicles to raise money for Boston Medical Center’s food and nutrition programs, including a hospital-based food pantry. Charity license plates can be pre-ordered online at stophungerma.org.

Cornerstone Bank

Worcester’s Cornerstone Bank gave $2,500 to support the construction of a new combined fire station and police headquarters for the town of Charlton.

Hanscom Federal Credit Union

Hanscom Federal Credit Union has donated $25,000 to Run for Home Base. The virtual run/walk fundraiser generates donations for Home Base, a nonprofit that provides clinical care to veterans, servicemembers and their families.

IC Credit Union

Fitchburg-based IC Credit Union donated $4,000 through their “Empower – A Community Connection” program to Our Father’s House Food Pantry of Fitchburg. The credit union also gave $4,000 to the Marlborough Community Cupboard as part of the same initiative. The second gift will cover the purchase of turkeys for Thanksgiving,

Lowell-based Jeanne D’Arc Credit Union  gave $1,500 to Place of Promise, a Lowell faith-based nonprofit whose mission is to help locals suffering from addiction or trauma rebuild their lives.

MutualOne Bank

Framingham-based MutualOne Bank gave $10,000 to the Natick Service Council to support the organization’s Heart Healthy Food Pantry program.

RTN Federal Credit Union

Waltham-based RTN Federal Credit Union has given $2,500 to the Massachusetts Coalition for the Homeless and its A Bed for Every Child initiative.

Whittinsville-based UniBank has been selected as the financial partner for the Carroll Charitable Foundation of Worcester.
