Arbella Insurance

The Arbella Insurance Foundation recently announced it donated $2.8 million to New England nonprofits in 2015, along with 1,600 employee volunteer hours.

 

Berkshire Bank

Berkshire Bank has named Wayne Labonte Sr. of Burlington, Vermont, Craig Sullivan of Natick, Joelle Marini of Westfield, and Jaime Garanzuay of Becket as the winners of its Military and Veterans Suite Night Contest.

 

Charles River Bank

Charles River Bank recently announced it assisted 43 children with supplemental gifts over the holiday season in 2015. The bank also donated $850 to the Medway Public Library as part of the bank’s 100th Anniversary Celebration programs.

 

Massachusetts Life Sciences Center

The Massachusetts Life Sciences Center recently announced a few new features to its Internship Challenge program, which will include a $700,000 increase in funding, a $2 increase in the intern pay rate and a new incentive for long-term hiring by participating companies.

 

Mayor’s Office of Workforce Development

The Mayor’s Office of Workforce Development, an affiliate of the Boston Redevelopment Authority, recently awarded $1.2 million to 17 community-based employment and workforce development programs. The individual grants, ranging from $25,000 to $100,000, are administered through the Neighborhood Jobs Trust.
