Reading-based Berkeley Building Co. has begun construction of a new corporate headquarters for Genuity Science at 90 Canal St. in Boston. 

Designed by SMMA, the interior of the space will be a mixture of modern finishes while preserving significant portions of the historical interior architecture of the space. Plans include restoration of the existing brick-arched support walls, exposed wood framing and portions of the exterior fenestration. 

Geniuity Science is an open-access technology platform that works with life science companies that develop and manufacture biologics.
