After more than two decades at 1 Post Office Square, tenant advisory brokerage McCall & Almy relocated on July 1 to 100 Federal St. With its lease set to expire, McCall & Almy concentrated its space search in the heart of the Financial District, and was familiar with the 41-story tower after representing a client that recently leased space on the same floor.

The relocation enabled McCall & Almy to reconfigure workspaces for its 28 employees into a more collaborative layout. But unlike many companies that are simultaneously reducing space and eliminating private offices, McCall & Almy expanded its footprint from 7,000 square feet to 8,454 square feet.

Designed by Margulies Perruzzi Architects, the offices feature polished concrete floors, exposed ceilings, accent lighting and an open-format collaboration space and cafe near the front entrance.

“We initially had a sublease at 1 Post Office Square and we inherited the character of another company. At this space, we were allowed to make it our own. It gives us a fresh new look and appeal, and I feel we’ve modernized our look and brand significantly.” — Zac Sargent, vice president of project management, McCall & Almy
