- Plans have been unveiled to transform Boston’s 41-story One Post Office Square office tower with a new facade, 140,000 square feet of additional office space and expanded retail space.
- Working with development managers JLL and Anchor Line Partners, architects Gensler designed a new glass curtain wall facade, including a glass expression on the top floor called “The Lantern” which will increase the building’s visibility on the skyline. New indoor and outdoor amenity spaces for tenants also are proposed.
- A new 10-story office building would be constructed atop the property’s existing 8-story garage on Oliver Street.
- The changes come as Putnam Investments, which occupies 240,000 square feet at One Post Office Square, prepares to relocate its headquarters to the nearby 100 Federal St. in 2018. JLL is One Post Office Square’s leasing and management agent.
