Boston Beer Co.’s taproom includes a brewhouse, three-level bar and rooftop patio steps from Faneuil Hall and its namesake Samuel Adams statue.

The 14,000-square-foot taproom will serve as a testing ground for experimental brews. A BrauKon brewhouse sourced from Germany has 1,100-barrel brewing capacity and 12 serving tanks to supply 20 taps, most of which will be exclusive to the new location.

Dining options include daily sandwich specials and an all-day bar menu including light bites from local sources including Boston Pretzel, Delectable Delights and Top Shelf Cookies. Growlers and specialty four-packs are available to go.

Designed by Boston-based architects Bergmeyer and constructed by Gilbane Building Co., the new taproom was built on the former Hillstone restaurant space.

They Said It:

“We’ve been dreaming about a space like the Samuel Adams Boston Taproom for years. Ever since we opened our Boston Brewery Taproom in Jamaica Plain in 2017, drinkers have been asking us to open a location closer to the downtown area. Finally, the timing is just right.”
— Jim Koch, founder and brewer, Boston Beer Co.
