Tighe & Bond, a major Northeast engineering and environmental consulting firm, recently relocated to a larger office at 120 Front St. in Worcester with the intention of expanding its business in the surrounding area.

Tighe & Bond established its first Worcester office in 1998 and provides engineering and environmental services to hundreds of public and private clients across the northeastern United States, with emphasis on the education, energy, government, health care, industrial, real estate and water/wastewater markets. A staff of over 370 work from nine offices located in Middletown and Shelton, Connecticut; Westwood, Pocasset, Worcester and Westfield, Massachusetts; Portsmouth, New Hampshire; Rhinebeck, New York; and Providence, Rhode Island.

The new 16,000-square-foot office can accommodate 80 employees and offers a more collaborative working environment. The office houses project managers, engineers, environmental scientists, GIS professionals and other support staff.

Tighe & Bond regularly provides engineering services to the city of Worcester and has worked on many notable projects in the area. This includes extensive infrastructure improvements, demolition projects, environmental assessment/cleanup work, and sanitary sewer and related work.

“We are excited to announce our move to 120 Front St. This expanded space will allow us to continue to grow our long-established presence in Worcester and to further serve clients throughout Central and Eastern Massachusetts and the Greater Boston area,” Tighe & Bond President and CEO Bob Belitz said in a statement.
