Separate developments proposed by Rock Development and Transom Real Estate would see nearly 200 units rise on two parcels facing Logan Airport in East Boston.

The Rock Development project, called “The Residences at Coleridge Coast,” would add 19 units in a 34,754-square-foot building on a 19,000-square-foot lot at 183 Coleridge St. Because the building sits next to Boston Harbor, the building’s mechanicals will be located on the roof and the ground floor will be elevated above expected flood levels. Two units would be classed as affordable housing. The units would be a mix of eight one-bedroom units, 10 two-bedroom units and one three-bedroom unit.

The Transom project, at 282-308 Bremen St., will face the Bremen Street Community Park, Route 1A and the Blue Line’s Airport station. Transom is proposing a 125,000-square-foot, 5- and 6-story, mixed-use building with 165 units and 8,500 square feet of ground-floor retail space. The site is made up of nine parcels totaling 34,160 square feet.

Transom has filed a letter of intent with the Boston Planning and Development Agency while Rock Development has already filed its formal proposal.
