Worcester officials are mulling zoning changes to cut down on the number of driveways built on side yards and front yards in the city.
The Worcester Telegram & Gazette reports the city administrator is recommending changes in impervious surface requirements for residential zoning districts and setback requirements for driveways on single-, two- and three-family properties.
The zoning ordinances are an attempt to balance aesthetics and the perceived need for off-street parking, its backers say.
