40 Peabody Properties Inc.

40 Peabody Properties Inc. employees and their families joined together for Roxbury’s Road to Wellness 5K Walk/Run, an event intended to inspire mind, body and spiritual health through fitness and exercise.

 

Commerce Bank

Commerce Bank recently donated $1,000 to the Alzheimer’s Association. Commerce’s Royal 50’s Club is a sponsor of the 2015 Worcester County Walk to End Alzheimer’s, on Sunday, Oct. 4 at Quinsigamond Community College in Worcester. The club is sponsoring the Promise Garden at the end of the walk, where participants will plant colored flowers that represent their personal connection to Alzheimer’s.

 

Florence Bank

Florence Bank recently donated $4,000 to the West Springfield Library to be used over the next two years in the library’s expansion project.

 

HarborOne Bank

Fourteen members of the HarborOne Bank Caring Crew helped landscape and paint for the Middleboro Council on Aging as part of the United Way of Greater Plymouth’s Day of Caring. The crew members also donated 30 mums, 50 bulbs, fall decorations and a new bench.

 

Marlborough Savings Bank

Employees of Marlborough Savings Bank raised $850 to donate to the K-9 division of the Marlborough Police Department, which will go towards the training of K-9 Officer Kaiser, partner to Officer Kenneth McKenzie. These funds will contribute to covering tactical training put on by the Greene County Sherriff’s Office, including costs of the course, food, travel and board.

 

MutualOne Bank

MutualOne Charitable Foundation has awarded $1,000 to American Veterans Post 79 in Natick for its new 9/11 Memorial. The funds will provide for the addition of seven lights in memory of the seven employees of Framingham-based T.J. Maxx who died on 9/11, and a bell to honor the 343 firefighters lost in the tragedy.

 

Naveo Credit Union

Naveo Credit Union is sponsoring the 4th Annual Joe Chaves 5K Memorial Walk/Run on Sept. 27 in Cambridge and Charlestown. Naveo has been a sponsor of the walk since its inception. Funds raised by the walk help to support scholarships and programs for the community at Massachusetts Alliance of Portuguese Speakers through the Joe & Dorothy Chaves Fund.

 

North Shore Bank

North Shore Bank was a major sponsor of Peabody’s Kid’s Day Celebration, donating $2,500 to the day’s event, which was held in conjunction with the city’s Annual International Festival.

 

RTN Federal Credit Union

RTN Federal Credit Union recently presented a check for $25,000 to the Massachusetts Coalition for the Homeless. The funds are proceeds raised from Walk Home 2015 in June.

 

Salvation Army of Greater Springfield

The Salvation Army of Greater Springfield is launching the 2015 Coats for Kids Campaign to help those in need. Coats of all sizes are needed – from infants to young adult sizes. Drop boxes provided by local business owners will be available throughout the community. The campaign will conclude on Friday, Oct. 16 and the day for qualified families to register and receive coats will be Saturday, Nov. 7.
