Cornerstone Bank

Worcester-based Cornerstone Bank employees participated in the Habitat for Humanity Operation Playhouse Build-A-Thon. The event brings together businesses from the MetroWest and Greater Worcester area to build, paint and decorate themed playhouses for veteran and military families.

Jeanne D’Arc Credit Union

For the second consecutive year, Lowell-based Jeanne D’Arc Credit Union is sponsoring a collaboration between the Greater Lowell Family YMCA and Lowell Humane Society. The Tales 4 Tails Program allows children at the YMCA to visit Lowell Humane Society to read aloud to dogs, cats, rabbits and other shelter animals that are awaiting adoption.

MutualOne Bank

Framingham-based MutualOne Bank awarded $10,000 to support a free mental health care program provided to Framingham and Natick senior citizens by Advocates, a community-based organization providing human services to people and families facing life challenges. This is the second year that MutualOne Bank has supported this program.

UniBank

Whittinsville-based UniBank recently donated $7,500 to the Worcester Public Library Foundation to fund the library’s 2019 summer reading program, “A Universe of Stories,” and other children’s literacy programming at all their branches and mobile libraries. UniBank recently also made a $2,500 donation to the Uxbridge Free Public Library. This donation will be used to fund in-house programs including spaced-themed crafts for this year’s theme “A Universe of Stories,” STEAM activities and literary character parties.
