Berkshire Bank

Boston-based Berkshire Bank announced it gave away $4 million to more than 500 organizations in 2020, a 40 percent increase in its philanthropy from the prior year.

Cambridge Savings Bank

Cambridge Savings Bank donated $90,000 to Cambridge-based affordable housing developer and social service agency Just-A-Start. The money will assist families in Chelsea, Revere, Everett, and Malden with urgent, flexible funding to stabilize their housing.

Monson Savings Bank

Monson Savings Bank donated $2,000 to the Springfield Shiners Hospital for Children.

MutualOne Bank

Framingham-based MutualOne Bank gave $15,000 to the Framingham Public Library Foundation to assist in their purchase of technology for a new Teen Room in the city’s main library

North Easton Savings Bank

North Easton Savings Bank gave $1,000 to the Easton Outside Movement. Easton Outside is a new grassroots community project to help local businesses through the coronavirus pandemic by promoting the town’s shops, restaurants, recreation opportunities and cultural offerings.

Pentucket Bank

Haverhill-based Pentucket Bank has donated $40,000 towards the establishment of a scholarship for graduating Haverhill High School seniors in the name of its late president and CEO, Edmund Cote Jr. The Cote family also raised $20,000 toward the endeavor.

People’s United Bank

Connecticut-based People’s United Bank donated $5,000 to The Community Adolescent Resource and Education Center in Holyoke. The center which provides, innovational, educational support programs for low income, pregnant and young mothers in the city.
