The Hyannis-based Cooperative Bank of Cape Cod gave $29,000 in grants to five organizations that provide programing to address fundamental needs and challenges of the local community:

  • $10,000 to Champ Homes of Hyannis
  • $5,000 to Crystal Garden Children’s Learning Center of Hyannis
  • $10,000 to Habitat for Humanity of Cape Cod
  • $1,000 to Neighborhood Falmouth
  • $3,000 to Pleasant Bay Community Boating of Harwich

Marlborough-based Digital Federal Credit Union, better known as DCU, will sponsor America Saves’ upcoming #ThinkLikeASaver town hall-style webinar on paying for college.

Dedham Savings Bank

Dedham Savings Bank gave $5,000 to the Italian Home for Children to fund external phone translation services to better serve their diverse population of clients and families seeking mental health services.

HarborOne Bank

Brockton-based HarborOne Bank donated $20,000 to the Boys & Girls Club of Metro South. The donation will help sustain the Boys & Girls Club’s delivery of critical teen educational programs that provide the resources and opportunities to teens to navigate and access higher education and achieve success in their future careers.

The bank also donated $10,000 to the South Boston Neighborhood House’s senior program, which serves 350 area seniors every year.

Jeanne D’Arc Credit Union

Lowell-based Jeanne D’Arc Credit Union said it is sending two staffers – Assistant Vice President and Community Engagement Officer Alison Hughes and Assistant Vice President of the Member Contact Center Anexis Sanchez – will join the Leaders Engaged and Activated to Drive System-wide change (LEADS) program as part of the class of 2021-2022. The LEADS Fellowship program, is hosted by Harvard Business School professionals, focused on amplifying their leadership skills and decision making to create change in the community.

Jay Nuss Realty Group

Braintree-based real estate and consulting firm Jay Nuss Realty Group donated 400 masks to Dorchester’s Prince Hall Grand Lodge of Masons. The lodge is a prominent institution in the Boston neighborhood and dates back to 1775.
