Data Firm Headed For Downtown Worcester

A Worcester data company that uses predictive analytics to rate real estate properties in areas ranging from risk of fire losses to investment opportunities will move to new offices at Mercantile Center in downtown Worcester.

Location Inc., which hosts web-based subscription services including Neighborhood Reports and NeighborhoodScout, next month will occupy 4,600 square feet at 120 Front St., a 9-story office building which is being renovated by Franklin Realty Advisors as part of a $70 million redevelopment project.

Kelleher & Sadowsky Assoc. represented ownership in the lease transaction. Mercantile Center contains 642,300 square feet of office and retail space in two towers at 100 and 120 Front St.

The Mercantile Center redevelopment includes the renovations of the two office towers, partial demolition of the former Worcester Center Galleria shopping mall, which closed in 2006 and conversion of retail space into offices.
