A Framingham man recently pleaded guilty in U.S. District Court in Boston to robbing two banks in Framingham.

Jalonni Tucker, also known as Jalonni Shabazz, pleaded guilty to two counts of unarmed bank robbery and is scheduled for sentencing on July 5.

An individual entered a branch of TD Bank in Framingham on June 21, 2016, and demanded money from the teller through a note. The teller handed the robber cash, and the individual exited the bank. The bank’s surveillance cameras captured images of the individual, and surveillance cameras on neighboring businesses captured images of the individual driving away in a white/silver Chrysler SUV with distinctive chrome wheels.

An individual committed a similar robbery at a Citizens Bank in Framingham on July 13, 2016. The bank’s exterior surveillance cameras also showed images of the individual driving away in a white/silver Chrysler SUV with distinctive chrome wheels.

The investigation revealed that the Chrysler SUV belonged to a Framingham resident and that Tucker was married to the registered owner of the vehicle. Tucker’s picture matched the surveillance camera images of the robbery suspect. Tucker was arrested at his Framingham home on July 15, 2016.

Tucker faces up to 20 years in prison, three years of supervised release and a fine of up to $250,000 on each robbery charge.
