Beverly-based construction manager Connolly Brothers completed a 26,000-square-foot addition at Bio-Techne Corp.’s headquarters at Devens, the 4,400-acre mixed-use community managed by MassDevelopment. 

Designed by Maugel Architects, the 1-story structure provides manufacturing and warehouse space for Bio-Techne, which develops and manufactures purified proteins and reagent solutions used to aid in drug discovery. Members of the project team were trained in unexploded ordnance detection because of the property’s history as a U.S. Army base. 

Members of the project team included civil engineer Meisner Brem, RFM Structural Engineers, Leonard Electric, Moran Plumbing, HVAC contractor Tech Mechanical and Ideal Fire Protection.
