What: Engie North America offices
Where: 9 Channel Center, Boston
Built: 2019
Owner: Berkeley Investments

Energy services provider Engie North America’s new Boston headquarters contains a mix of open workspace, private offices, huddle areas, conference rooms and work lounges designed to balance needs for collaboration and concentration.

Designed by architects Gensler’s Boston and Houston offices, the 21,000-square-foot offices retained the industrial architecture of the Fort Point neighborhood’s brick-and-beam spaces. Colorful branding, statement lighting and modern furniture provide a dynamic contrast. Individual workstations on the perimeter of the two-story offices surround central teaming areas.

Corderman & Co. provided construction management services on the $3.2 million construction project.

They Said It:

“ENGIE’s new Boston office is an agile work environment embracing employee engagement reflecting their forward thinking. 9 Channel Center is the perfect place for them to grow and thrive.”
— Kevin Hegarty, senior project manager, Corderman & Co.
