DPS Group and Hodess Cleanroom Construction have completed a cell therapy manufacturing facility for Mustang Bio at UMass Medicine Science Park in Worcester. 

The 27,000-square-foot facility will support development and commercialization of Mustang’s CAR T and gene therapy product candidates and enable proprietary cell therapy research. The project upgraded office and lab space and converted existing labs into three clinical production areas. Other improvements included HVAC, mechanical and fire protection upgrades and a new air handling unit. 

Mustang Bio selected Hodess as prime consultant on the design-build project and DPS Group’s Boston office for its experience designing manufacturing facilities to comply with FDA regulations.
