What: One Beacon St.
Where: Boston
Owner: Metlife Investment management and Norges Bank Real Estate Management
Built: 1973

The owners of One Beacon St. have begun construction of an enhanced lobby including an extension of the front of the building toward Beacon Street.

The 12-month project will include contemporary finishes highlighted by new modern floors, walls, elevator lobbies, lighting and elevator cab finishes, along with resurfacing of the exterior steps and stone.

One Beacon Street offers more than 1 million square feet of first class office space, including low-rise space with high-rise views from its position on Beacon Hill.

The leasing team consists of JLL’s Patrick Nugent, Bill Barrack, Brad McGill, Molly Heath and Bryan Sparkes. Project team members include architect Gensler, general contractor Gilbane and construction manager CBRE.

“Tenants today are eager to have a differentiated experience from the moment they walk into their office building. By enhancing the entrance with a new front door, and adding first-class finishes and even meeting space in the lobby, this project will undoubtedly help to further position One Beacon as one of Boston’s premier Class A properties.”
