A 73-unit apartment complex developed by Boston-based Berkeley Investments in Jamaica Plain has begun leasing and announced its rent structure.

Designed by Rode Architects of Boston, 3200 Washington JP has rents starting at $2,405 for studios, $2,720 for one-bedroom units, two-bedrooms starting at $3,315 and three-bedrooms from $4,355. Nine affordable units are included in the complex, along with a separate triple-decker with three income-restricted condos.

The 6-story complex is a redevelopment of the long-vacant Economy Plumbing & Heating Supply Co. property in Egleston Square.

Anja Park, principal of Anja Park Design, designed the project’s common area amenities and staged two model units. Local artists Nancy Marks’ and Remi Picó’s commissioned works will be on display in the residential lobby of the building.

Other members of the project team include landscape architect Richard Burck Assoc., general contractor Reynolds Construction Services Inc. and property manager and leasing agent Princeton Properties. Santander Bank provided $21.5 million in financing.
