Monica Carreiro Botelho has joined Fall River-based BankFive as a mortgage loan originator. She has nearly 20 years of retail banking experience; before joining BankFive, she worked at Santander Bank and Millennium Bcp Bank.

Brookline Bank
Michael Minicucci has joined Brookline Bank’s commercial banking group as a vice president in the bank’s South Shore office. With over 15 years of experience in commercial lending, he will work in the bank’s new Braintree office to develop and service business customers in the South of Boston region.

Cape Cod 5
Laura Newstead has been promoted to executive vice president and chief human resources officer at Orleans-based Cape Cod 5. Newstead holds a master’s degree in human resources from Central Michigan University, a bachelor’s in secondary education and English from Western Michigan University and is currently pursuing a PhD in organizational leadership at Indiana Wesleyan University.

Dain Torpy
Kate Moran Carter is now a shareholder at Boston-based Dain Torpy. Carter’s practice at the real estate law firm has a particular focus on advising condominium associations.

Direct Federal Credit Union
Chris Teachout has joined Needham-based Direct Federal Credit Union as vice president of business banking. Teachout joins the credit union from Needham Bank, where he was vice president of private banking.

Grossman Development Group
Ariel Konover has joined Framingham-based Grossman Development Group as the analyst for the company. Konover is a third generation real estate professional, with a concentration in the financial analyzation of development and acquisition projects. Prior to joining GDG, Konover spent five years working in his family’s real estate business, overseeing project underwriting, as well as working closely with the company’s lenders.

MTM
Braintree-based condo law firm MTM has opened an office in Boston. Located at 265 Franklin St. in the heart of the Financial District, the new office will be staffed by Partners Chris Malloy and Tom Bhisitkul and Associates Janelle Dempsey and Michelle Rosin.

Boston-based architecture firm TRIA has hired two senior design professionals: Jonathan Romig as senior project manager/senior lab planner, and Natasha Tashian, NCIDQ, as senior interior designer.
