Rockland Trust is adding four new members to its Worcester team.

The bank said in a statement last week that Greg DiMarzio has been appointed vice president of the investment management group, Karen Niro has been tapped as vice president of treasury management services, Eileen Lessard has been hired as vice president of retail banking strategy and Patrick Wimberly will be the new banking officer of retail banking strategy.

“Rockland Trust is committed to serving the Worcester community and the expansion of our team will add more capabilities that we can offer businesses, families and consumers,” Michael Crawford, senior vice president and market executive leading the Worcester team, said in a statement. “We’re excited to be located in the heart of the city’s revitalization efforts and look forward to growing our relationships with Worcester and its surrounding communities.”

Rockland Trust last October said it would launched its physical presence in Worcester with a commercial lending and wealth management office, an office space located at 100 Front St. in the center of the city’s downtown. The office mirrors one’s that Rockland has in Providence in Boston that have been very successful.

The hiring of Crawford was announced along with the new Worcester office at the time.

Crawford formerly served as COO of Worcester-based Commerce Bank until Berkshire acquired Commerce in 2017. Joining his team at the time was Lisa Antoniotti, commercial banking officer; Matthew Brothers, vice president of commercial lending and Bill Mahoney, vice president for the investment management group.

Rockland has been set on bulking up its presence in Worcester since the bank purchased Milford National Bank in May 2018.

Crawford noted that the Worcester team has already enjoyed early success, bringing in close to $100 million in commercial loan commitments in 2019. In addition to providing commercial banking services, Rockland Trust offers investment management and small business banking services to the Worcester area.
