“Social consumption” marijuana businesses could be coming to a dozen Massachusetts communities under a pilot program approved by the state Cannabis Control Commission.

According to the Boston Herald, the commission voted 3-2 to approve the proposal, although regulations still need to be written and the 12 communities need to be selected.

Poorer communities will get first crack at the licenses, the paper reports.
