Edward Sugrue is now vice president and branch manager for Rockland Trust’s Watertown location.

Sugrue will oversee all aspects of the Watertown branch, acting as a resource to its customers and serving as an ambassador for Rockland Trust within the Watertown community, according to a statement.

Prior to joining Rockland Trust, Sugrue was vice president and branch manager at Eastern Bank’s Watertown location, where he managed all sales, service and operations activities. Previously, he worked in senior manager roles at Citizens Bank, Fleet Bank, and Coolidge Bank and Trust Company.

"Rockland Trust has a great reputation for outstanding customer service and community involvement," said Sugrue. "I’m thrilled to start working with such a passionate group of professionals who are dedicated to improving the communities we live and work in."

A lifelong resident of Watertown, Sugrue is an active member of the local community. He is involved in a number of community organizations, including The Rotary Club of Watertown and the Watertown-Belmont Chamber of Commerce. Sugrue holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Bentley College and currently resides in Watertown with his wife.
