Boston-based Taurus Investment Holdings relocates its headquarters on Wednesday to Two International Place after 20 years at 22 Batterymarch St. in the Financial District.

CEO Peter Merrigan said the switch from a 2-story, 6,500-square-foot layout at 22 Batterymarch St. to 10,000 square feet at International Place enables the real estate investment firm to create a more collaborative workspace as it expands. Taurus has 25 employees based in the Boston office, including four hires since January.

Taurus looked at approximately 15 properties from the Seaport District to Back Bay before settling on The Chiofaro Co.’s International Place because of its central location, Merrigan said. Cushman & Wakefield’s Chuck O’Connor represented Taurus in the lease transaction.

IA Interior Architects designed Taurus’ tenant fit-out, which was completed by Boston-based Columbia Construction.

Taurus is a previous owner of 22 Batterymarch St., a former home of the Harvard Club which was converted into 35,000 square feet of multitenant office space in the 1980s. It sold the property for $10.5 million in 2014.

Taurus has nearly completed its investments from a $250 million fund focused on acquisition of logistics properties, many of them in the Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas and Memphis markets. When fully deployed in May, the fund will comprise 15 buildings totaling 8.5 million square feet. Taurus is preparing to launch two additional U.S. funds this year, one focused on logistics and the other on value-add multifamily properties, Merrigan said.
