Boston ranked among the worst of the country’s state capitals for quality of life, coming in at 41 out of 50, according to a recent WalletHub study that ranked state capitals across the country for affordability, a strong economy, high education standards and overall quality of life.

The city came in at 48 for the least affordable housing and fifth for the lowest percentage of state and local government employees. Boston came in second to Honolulu as having the most attractions of any state capital and third as having the highest percentage of Millennial newcomers.
